You may be surprised to learn that there are many Guinness World Records associated with Xbox and achievements. The most famous of these is, of course, the Highest Xbox Live Gamerscore held by Stallion83
, although he was recently temporarily surpassed
. Then there are records for the most games played and the most games completed, as well as separate records for individual games and achievements.
Despite it being the reason behind many personal challenges, the one thing for which there is not a world record is the highest amount of gamerscore achieved in a 24 hour period. There are team and individual records for the most Xbox 360 gamerscore in 24 hours, but not a record that combines platforms. If it did exist, though, we have one gamer who would certainly be looking at claiming the title. On July 13th, 2017, vSully
decided to challenge himself to see how much gamerscore he could earn in a 24 hour period. The result was exactly 40,000GS from 625 achievements that were spread across 48 games! Below are his stats before and after July 13th:
This incredible amount of gamerscore was earned on his own account. This meant that previously played games that were quick to complete or yielded large amounts of gamerscore in a short period of time, such as Cubot
and the infamous Avatar: The Last Airbender: The Burning Earth
, were no longer available. You can see a full list of achievements that he earned here
, but below is a table of the games that he played, number of achievements gained and gamerscore earned.
Congratulations to vSully on his accomplishment! Are you thinking about trying to beat his record? Or if not, what's your best day so far?
