It's Super Bowl week in the States and many of us fat Americans are looking forward to gorging ourselves on pizza, nachos, and my family's secret recipe reuben dip this Sunday. Unfortunately, this year's contest between the Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers is happening in advance of a looming storm. The NFL Players Association and NFL owners are currently locked in a very contentious labor dispute that may put next year's season in jeopardy.
Fortunately for gamers, EA has you covered. Game Informer recently contacted EA Sports PR manager Rob Semsey, who had the following comments on next year's edition of Madden:
Fans of Madden NFL will not have their seasons interrupted regardless of when the labor issues are resolved.
If Semsey's comments are any indication, gamers can expect Madden NFL 12
to be released on time, regardless of the status of the actual players. Semsey also added that EA Tiburon would not be integrating replacement players into next year's Madden, meaning that you can still expect to see Tom Brady, Peyton Manning and Chris Johnson even if they aren't on the actual field.
