Listen To These Tracks From The Upcoming Sonic Games

With both Sonic Mania and Sonic Forces on the way this year, SEGA has been generously releasing samples of both games' soundtracks for our listening pleasure. Last week, they kicked this off for Sonic Mania with "Lights, Camera, Action!" from the first act of the game's Studiopolis Zone. On the Sonic Forces front, we've already heard a couple of tracks, namely the game's main theme as well as a track for the game's custom character. Now we've got another track from each game.

Sonic Forces

Starting with Sonic Mania, this track composed by Tee Lopes, called "Hi Spec Robo Go!", isn't from any one particular stage; instead it plays during encounters with the Hard-boiled Heavies. Personally, this one sounds like it has taken at least a little inspiration from another SEGA game with fantastic music, Jet Set Radio.

For Sonic Forces, we have the theme for new character Infinite — handily called "Infinite" — that features in the reveal trailer for the character that can also be seen below. On the track, alongside series veterans Tomoya Ohtani and Jun Senoue, are Tyler Smyth and Andy Bane, both of the band Dangerkids.

Sonic Mania is set to launch on August 15th, with Sonic Forces currently scheduled to release later in the year. Hopefully SEGA continues to provide us with some more soundtrack samples from both to tide us over until they release.
