EXOR Studios may be keeping quiet about a release date for X-Morph: Defense
, their hybrid twin-stick shooter and tower defense game, but the flow of gameplay videos continues with three new instalments.
First we take a stroll through the X-Morph Defense
mission select menu, which gives a sense of the structure of the game's story. The story campaign involves taking over Earth region by region and placing harvester cores in order to drain the planet's energy. New upgrades and technologies are awarded for securing harvester locations and the transformation of the Earth's surface caused by the energy drain can be seen on the mission select map.
Next we have a co-op gameplay video that focuses on the buying and selling of towers when playing with a friend. X-Morph Defense
gives each co-op player their own resource supply but allows anyone to sell any tower. Whether this supports jolly co-operation or enables a controlling know-all to redo their partner's work according to their own plan depends on the players, so choose your co-op partner with care!
Our final X-Morph Defense
video takes a long hard look at heavy bombers, one of the more serious weapons in the Earthlings' arsenal as they attempt to resist your invasion. Heavy bombers will destroy everything below them, whether friend or foe. When they have eventually taken enough damage to be killed, their falling wrecks hit the ground with enough force to destroy a building.
is coming soon to Xbox One and Windows 10.
