EA Announces Several Server Shutdowns Coming in October

By Mark Delaney,
Server shutdowns aren't taken lightly by this community, so allow me to take the time and calmly remind you all to not shoot the messenger. EA has revealed several servers will be going offline later in 2017. On October 24th, the following games will have their online functionality disabled:

We had previously reported the FIFA shutdowns, but it's now known that the entire EA Sports 2012 and 2013 lineups will be joining them, as well two Burnout titles. Each of these games has had their hub pages flagged with the necessary warnings and, as always, each game hub will inform you of which achievements you'll need to prioritize if you plan to earn the completions before the October shutdown.

Is anyone interested in grouping together to get a complete set on NHL 12?

Got to admit, they've been a bit leanent with server closures until this year where they've decided to cut down a decent amount. This being the worst list of closures among this year to-date.

To the point, some of these games already have discontinued achievements. If they we're fixed on a temporary basis, I would pick-up some of these and get them done. I'm looking at you Tiger Woods.

And the funniest thing is I only looked at Grand Slam Tennis 2 list just 1 hour before this annoucement was made on TA. Spooky.

Doesn't seem too bad for me, surely there can't be anyone still playing the likes of FIFA 12 online

Not started any of these but thanks for bringing the information to us as always.
I do like it when the red stuff comes out.

Wasn't Burnout Crash also in their list?

should be no such thing at all. The money they make and yet they turn off servers when they can keep them online, all companies who do this need to be lawsuited and call out.

Anyone who skipped any of the Tiger PGA Tour games has lost out badly - my advice would be to play these while you still have the chance!

Now all we need is for EA to sign him and start making these again - Tiger Woods FTW!

Server closures suck but at least they're giving a 3~ month notice so that's nice.

If you go to the Achievements section and then filter by "Online Game Mode," that will narrow the list to any achievements that require online services to obtain. This should work for any game on the list toast

My heart dropped when I seen Burnout but it's not Burnout Paradise so we're good :)
