Overwatch Summer Games May Be Returning For 2017

By Jack Watling, 7 months ago
Lúcioball first made an appearance in the Summer Games 2016 event. It pits two teams of three players, all playing as Lúcio, against each other on the Estádio das Rãs map. Following similar rules to football, players have to score in one of two goals located on the rectangular map. You can check out the announcement video for the original 2016 event below.

While there's no official announcement of Summer Games 2017 from Blizzard, there has been some PC data found that suggests it is, and we've also just picked up some new achievements that confirm Lúcioball, at a minimum, will be returning as a playable event soon!

There are 3 achievements worth a total of 45 Gamerscore, none of which are secret:

Name Description Gamerscore
Lúcio Hat Trick Score a goal, a save, and an assist in a game of Lúcioball. 15
Safe Hands Score 3 saves in a row in Lúcioball. 15
Volley Score a goal in Lúcioball with a shot taken from at least 3 meters in the air. 15
You can find guides to unlocking these achievements as soon as we have them on the Overwatch: Origins Edition Achievements page.
