Final Fantasy XV Magitek Exosuits Ready For Use In July's Free Update

By Ashley Woodcock, 4 months ago
As promised earlier this month, the Power Ranger like Magitek Exosuits have released to adventurers still travelling, exploring and fighting in the world of Square Enix's Final Fantasy XV. Released as part of this month's free update, more content has also made its way to the game in the form of the Moogle Chocobo Carnival, a new quest, and a new "Cross Chain" calibration system.

The Magitek Exosuits will grant the wearer 30 minutes of invincibility per day for all four of the main characters. Once the invincibility period is over, players can still wear the suits but will need to wait 24 hours before they can be invincible again.

The new quest, "O Partner, My Partner", comes without any specific details as to what it entails but we do know that players can accept it from the Meldacio Hunter HQ after completing Chapter Eight.

The popular Moogle Chocobo Carnival has returned and will be available to players of all levels again in Altissia from now up until late September. Pay the Carnival a visit and check out limited-time-only mini games, Chocobo water races, and also special Moogle Chocobo menu items straight from the Square Enix Café.

Square Enix goes on to detail the last feature of the free update:

A new “Cross Chain” collaboration system - allows players to severely damage strong, defensive enemies by increasing the number of linked attacks. The Cross Chain system is available once players acquire the two Royal Arms: the Sword of the Wise and Axe of the Conqueror.
If you are looking forward to participating in what the Moogle Chocobo Carnival has to offer, don't forget that you must own the "FFXV Holiday Pack +", which comes as part of the game's Season Pass and the Digital Premium Edition of the title. Those with the free version of the "Holiday Pack" can also check out the Carnival.

Feast your eyes on these new screens that showcase the sweet-looking Magitek Exosuits in action as well as Noctis beginning the new quest, and also the Cross Chain system being put to the test during a battle:

All of the new content in July's Free Update for Final Fantasy XV is available right now.
