's Patch 4.14 might not be as big as the Mid-Season Patch
, but it'll still serve up a new stance-switching goddess, improvements to ranked, new Season Ticket and Summer of SMITE content, bug fixes, balance changes and more for the third-person MOBA.
The 90th goddess is here — get ready to earn that 90 god masteries icon upon mastering Artio if you already have the other 89 completed — and she is a Guardian. She offers up plenty of crowd control, damage, sustain, protections and more, so much in fact that Hi-Rez has already announced she'll be taken down a notch in a follow-up patch. To see how she functions, check out her complete reveal in the video below.
As players will recall, Hi-Rez announced Project Olympus
, an initiative that focuses on improving existing gameplay elements and features instead of new content. Project Olympus spotlighted ranked improvements in Patch 4.14. Players can expect a new pick and ban suggestion system before the picking phase in ranked, a more detailed ranked page that will show what rank the system is trying to push the player towards, and a revised god leaderboard system.
Your efforts, or the efforts of a teammate you respect, will no longer go unnoticed with the new fantasy points tipping system. Following the completion of a match, players can choose to tip a selected teammate a percentage of the fantasy points they earned from the game.
Speaking of fantasy points and the Season Ticket, the Fall Split is here. Ranks for Spring will be finalized once the patch launches and the bonus rewards for players who owned the Spring Ticket will no longer be active unless they choose to pick up the Fall Split Pass Bundle. Like the others, for 400 gems it'll allow players to earn double FP, earn bonus FP through fantasy predictions and quests, a Limited skin and more:
- Dr. Madlove Cupid (Season Ticket Fall Split Pass)
- Right to Vote on Season Games
- Bonus Quests for FP
- Double FP for Matches
- 15 Team FP Boosters (2x of total received)
- 15 Team Worshiper Boosters (2x of total received)
As always, there are plenty of new skins to enjoy. Dr. Madlove Cupid is included with the new Fall Split Bundle, Critical.DMG Ne Zha is earnable as the 25,000 point reward for the Season Ticket, Midnight Dove Awilix is the community-voted skin (available at half price for 300 gems for a limited time), Freaky Tiki Ah Puch is 400 gems through the Summer of SMITE, SPF 666 The Morrigan has also joined the Summer of SMITE for 400 gems, Crystalline Terra is a tier two skin for 250 gems, Bruiser Cu Chulainn is a tier two skin for 250 gems, and Cupid has had his mastery skins updated.
There have also been a few console-specific bug fixes:
- We fixed an issue where Fatalis and Season 4 Shaman’s Ring were displayed in the Item shop.
- We fixed an issue where the game mode was not displayed on the God select screen after multi-queuing.
- Lono’s Mask has been re-added to the Item Shop.
- We fixed an issue where certain profile Items were preventing a small percentage of users from lading into matches.
- We fixed an issue where the Godlike Chest countdown would show -1 after winning 20 Triumphant Chests.
Patch 4.14 is going live for the console versions of SMITE
on Thursday, August 10th in the morning (Eastern time zone). A Double Favor Weekend will also be active from August 11th to August 13th.
