In case you missed it, Microsoft just opened Gamescom 2017 with its 90 minute keynote, inviting PlayerUnknown himself Brendan Greene to explain a bit of the game and tell the history of how PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds
(a.k.a. PUBG) came to be.
Greene also explained that the game will be released in partnership with Microsoft with the aim of having the same experience across platforms, but not mentioning if the game will include cross-play or if it is an Xbox Play Anywhere title. It was also clarified that PUBG will have a 4K update available for free for the Xbox One XPUBG
will release with Xbox Game Preview Program in the end of 2017, but Greene didn't want to give a specific date for the game.
