Prepare to die.

September's TA Playlist poll saw one game dominate the list of options with From Software's famously difficult action-RPG, Dark Souls, taking the lead early and never relinquishing it. In total, the game garnered just under 39% of the votes. Here's how the votes broke down:

Game Votes %
Dark Souls 852 38.89
Mafia III 572 26.11
Mirror's Edge Catalyst 488 22.27
Need for Speed 279 12.73

If you didn't vote for Dark Souls and are hesitant to try it out consider being stuck with it because TA Playlist was your idea, after all the great walkthrough provided by ClownTastic (edited by Dimmock, with contributions from LuckyConquerer2). According to others' accounts, it's a reliable guide to keep your stresses and confusion at a minimum. Series veterans are of course invited to return to their roots, as is anyone else curious to see first hand how the game plays, challenges, and ultimately uplifts you through perseverance. Join us in the forums, share game clips, and much more all in the TA Playlist Hub.

Our month of Dark Souls coverage will kick off on September 1st and run all month long. As the runner-up, Mafia III will also return in the next second chance poll in January. Don't forget to share your thoughts on this month's Playlist game, Life is Strange, before we record the podcast this weekend. We'll see you in September with Dark Souls!
