Battlefield 1 Incursions Unveiled By Rebecca Smith, 22 Aug 2017 FollowtopicsBattlefield 1BattlefieldElectronic ArtsEA PlayXbox Game PassFirst Person ShooterRebecca Smith EA's Gamescom 2017 presentation ended with a long look at their biggest shooter of the moment, Battlefield 1. Buckle down because we'll be here for a while.Developer DICE is working on a new multiplayer mode for the title: Incursions. Pitting two teams of five players against each other, tight teamwork is a must and with changes to the scoring system being implemented for the mode, every point counts. Strategy comes into play when players can choose their kit before entering the match, and vehicles will still be making an appearance. The mode is optimised for competition and some lucky players will get to be able to try it out first in a closed alpha next month. In the alpha, players will have a choice of eight different kits (Trench Surgeon, Control Leader, AT Assault, Battle Mechanic, Mortar Support, Raid Leader, Shock Assault, Proximity Recon) and will be able to try out the mode on a modified Giant’s Shadow map. Ranking up will allow access to better weapons and abilities. More details on the mode will be released in the coming months but for now you can register for the alpha here.Moving on from Incursions, EA announced that Lupkow Pass, the first map from the upcoming "In the Name of the Tsar" expansion, is available now for players who own the Battlefield 1 Premium Pass. The pack marks the start of the Russian Revolution in snow-covered ravines and deadly vertical drops. When the pack is released fully next month, the pack will introduce the Russian Army and the Women’s Battalion of Death. There will be five new maps in addition to Lupkow Pass, plus two new Operations, a new Supply Drop game mode, 11 new weapons, new vehicles (including the Ilya-Muromets Heavy Bomber vehicle and the Putilov-Garford Heavy Armored Car), new medals, new dog tags, new service stars and more. Finally, Battlefield 1 Revolution is also available now. Revolution includes the base game, the Battlefield 1 Premium Pass, "Red Baron Pack", "Lawrence of Arabia Pack" and "Hellfighter Pack". Players who purchase Revolution will, of course, gain instant access to the "They Shall Not Pass" expansion as well as early access to the Lupkow Pass map. There is no set release date yet for either the alpha or the game's upcoming second expansion, but we'll be sure to let you know when we hear more. We've got the full list of Battlefield 1 achievements - check the list for guides to unlocking them.More Battlefield 1 stories: Best Xbox first person shooters: Unbeatable FPS games New Battlefield campaign coming from Halo co-creator Marcus Lehto Two Battlefield DLC expansions are currently free on the Microsoft Store Battlefield 1 headlines this weekend's Free Play Days games Battlefield 1 They Shall Not Pass DLC currently free on Microsoft Store DLCGame PatchVideoScreenshotsUpcoming ReleaseXbox One Written by Rebecca SmithRebecca is the Newshound Manager at TrueGaming Network.
