Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition Announced

There is never a shortage of ways to access Final Fantasy games. Whether it be living room consoles, handheld systems, PCs, mobile phones or otherwise, Square Enix is quick to establish a home for their most famous franchise everywhere they can. The next step for Final Fantasy XV is a mobile take on the epic RPG, entitled Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition.

Square Enix is marketing Pocket Edition for what it is: a casual version of Final Fantasy XV. Though it stars the same characters and tells the same story as XV, it has cuter graphics, simple touch controls and a free episode designed to entice gamers to try it out. That's right, an "episode" — Pocket Edition consists of ten episodes, all ten of which are available at launch. The first will be accessible for free with the rest requiring a purchase. According to Square Enix, the design of the game should allow players to easily jump in or cease play at their leisure.
