December Brings Two DLC Releases and a Gold Edition to Resident Evil 7

Remember the free "Not a Hero" DLC that was announced for Resident Evil 7: Biohazard? If you forgot, Capcom probably forgives you — it was announced over six months ago and was later delayed. The release date for "Not a Hero" has finally been announced... for December. It will also coincide with the launch of a Gold Edition that will include all of Resident Evil 7's downloadable content. Lastly, Capcom has briefly discussed the next DLC, entitled "End of Zoe," which is to launch on the same date.

Capcom calls "End of Zoe" a "shocking" chapter in the events of Resident Evil 7. Players will get to see what happens to Zoe, encountering new enemies along the way in a new swamp location. Included with the season pass and the newly-announced Resident Evil 7 Gold Edition, "End of Zoe" can also be picked up separately for US$14.99 / £11.99 / €14.99.

As we already knew, "Not a Hero" stars Chris Redfield after the events of Resident Evil 7. Capcom promises "a brand new experience playing as Chris to face new threats not met in the main game." The DLC will be a free update for all owners of the game, regardless of whether they own the season pass or Gold Edition.

As a member of New Umbrella, Chris and team quickly set up a strategy to counter this latest threat. Will Chris once again solve the mystery of this latest outbreak and make it out of the plantation’s dungeons alive?
Lastly, and not surprisingly, Capcom has announced the launch of the final two DLC packages will be accompanied by the release of a Gold Edition for the title. The Gold Edition includes the base game and all DLC released. To recap, this includes the "Banned Footage" expansions, "Banned Footage Vol. 1" and "Banned Footage Vol. 2," as well as the upcoming "End of Zoe." Of course, owners of the Gold Edition will also have access to "Not a Hero," just like everyone else.

Capcom has released screenshots of all the various content included with the Gold Edition, which will be offered both physically and digitally:

"Not a Hero," "End of Zoe" and the Gold Edition will launch simultaneously on December 12th for Resident Evil 7. Pricing for the Gold Edition was unannounced at the time of writing.
