Konami Announces Partnership With Inter Milan For Pro Evolution Soccer

As their competitor, EA's FIFA series, continues to hold the majority of the licenses for football leagues, Konami has started to target individual club licensing agreements when it comes to their own football series, Pro Evolution Soccer. Following on from the likes of Barcelona, Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund in previous seasons, Konami has announced that they will be partnering with Italian team Internazionale Milano, AKA Inter Milan, starting with Pro Evolution Soccer 2018.

PES 2018 Inter Milan partnership

This agreement means that Inter Milan's current squad — including the likes of Mauro Icardi, amongst others — will be recreated in detail alongside the club's famous San Siro stadium, with club heroes Javier Zanetti, Dejan Stankovic and Francesco Toldo joining the increasing group of legends in the series' myClub mode. Finally, the team's playing style and tactical ability will be added via a free update shortly after the game's release.

This wasn't the only Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 information, however. Some of you may remember the news from a few months ago that the recently retired sprinter Usain Bolt would be a pre-order bonus for the game. Well, Konami has released a new video with the star that provides a behind-the-scenes look at what goes into the making of such a thing.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2018, including both Inter Milan and Usain Bolt, kicks off on both Xbox 360 and Xbox One on September 14th.
