Colorful, Vertical Action-Adventure Game Octahedron Announced

By Kelly Packard, 1 month ago
Indie publisher Square Enix Collective has picked up Octahedron, a "psychedelic adventure" from developer Demimonde. Instead of sideways, things proceed vertically in Octahedron. Players will do their best to ascend in order to escape from Veetragoul, a "strange subterranean world."

The game promises 2D "rhythm-synced action" across 50 levels, all running at 60 fps. As they continue to ascend, Octahedron players will run into unique enemies along the way. In addition to the colorful visuals, the title features music from composer Chipzel, known for creating chiptune music, and trance producer and DJ Andre Sobota.

As of this writing, there is no release date, but Octahedron is coming to Xbox One in 2018.
