Homefront 'The Resistance' Trailer

By Rebecca Smith, 7 years ago
The horrors of two years of occupation are brought home in the new "The Resistance" trailer for Homefront. The call to arms has been issued for players to take up the fight against the oppressors and join the second American Revolution.

The achievement hoarders amongst you will also be glad to know that there will be a stackable Japanese edition of the title. Spike, who are delivering the game to the Japanese market, are having to make some plot changes due to the guidelines of the CERO ratings board, specifically those regarding the portrayal of existing people and countries.

These are the three main changes:
• In one live action sequence in the game's opening movie that depicts North Korean leader Kim Jong-il as having died, the image of Kim Jong-il has been removed.
• In scenes that have been deemed malicious to an existing country, said country is now referred to as "A Certain Country to the North."
• In scenes that have been deemed malicious to an existing person, said person is now referred to as "Northern Leader."
Homefront is due to be released on March 15th, 2011 in North America, and March 18th in Europe following a week's delay. A Japanese release date has not been confirmed.
