Final Fantasy XV Multiplayer Expansion Ready To Release Next Month

By Ashley Woodcock, 1 year ago
The upcoming multiplayer expansion "Comrades" in Final Fantasy XV has received a solid release date as well as new details and a trailer with cut scenes, gameplay and a debut song. Before you read on to find out what's new, please be warned that if you are yet to experience the story, then look away now, as the details and trailer will spoil the back-end of the story for you.

The new DLC expansion will mark the first time players will be able to make their own avatar and call on up to three other friends to join them on epic quests and battles. As a survivor from the Kingsglaive, players will be on a mission to find out more about the strange disappearance of Noctis after what happened in Chapter 13 from the main game.

Being a member of the Kingsglaive does come with some perks, as you'd expect. Players will be equipped with royal sigils that grant special powers straight from the Lucian bloodline. Bring your special powers together with your comrades and then strategize and create a balanced team to take on the different quests on offer. On top of the multiplayer quests, single player quests will also be available for those riding solo.

Besides being able to create an avatar, Noctis' very own crew members Gladiolus, Prompto and Ignis will be playable in future game updates.

To finish off, we have a new gameplay trailer that features a new track titled "Choosing Hope", composted by Nobuo Uematsu and sung by Japanese singer Emiko Suzuki:

The "Comrades" DLC will be available on October 31st as a standalone expansion or as part of Final Fantasy XV's Season Pass.
