Just in time for the Halloween season, the highly lauded PC and mobile game Slayaway Camp
is coming to consoles in the form of Slayaway Camp: Butcher's Cut
. The puzzler with a slasher twist boasts "Very Positive" reviews on Steam and holds a score in the mid to high 80s on Metacritic, depending on its platform.
In Slayaway Camp
, players take on the role of one of 60+ slasher villains intent on carving up unsuspecting and promiscuous teens, just as slashers have been known to do for decades. The Butcher's Cut version coming to consoles includes many features that came to the game over many updates on its other platforms — and then some.
With over 300 puzzle levels, 60+ killers, 90+ "Gorepacks" with over-the-top kill scenes, and more, this is the "biggest and bloodiest version" of the game ever made says the game's publisher Digerati. Check out the 80s-inspired trailer for yourself.
Slayaway Camp: Butcher's Cut
is scheduled to arrive this month, "in time for Halloween," but no specific date has been given yet. It shouldn't be long til we hear more about Slayaway Camp
. Keep your eyes open for a release date, and maybe a lurking murderer or two.
