The Sims 4's Launch Day DLC Detailed

Even back when extra game content had to be purchased on disc, The Sims series has always been known for its plethora of expansions. The Sims 4 is no different, and the PC version already has a variety of DLC that can be purchased. Four of these expansions will be available at the launch of the console versions: "The Sims 4 Perfect Patio Stuff Pack," "The Sims 4 Vintage Glamour Stuff Pack," "The Sims 4 Vampires Game Pack" and "The Sims 4 City Living Expansion Pack."

Descriptions have been released for all four packages:

For Sims looking to spruce up their patio, this pack is just the thing. Create a relaxing space where you can fire up the grill to enjoy a cookout with friends while enjoying lounging around in their new fashionable casual clothing. Had a stressful day at work? Your Sims will melt away their stress to kick back and relax in their all new hot tub. Don't worry, if you aren't the hot tub type you can kick back by the pool with a new stylish furnishing to relax the stress away.

The Sims 4 Vintage Glamour Stuff Pack

Does your Sim enjoy the more refined things in life or enjoy a more classic feel? Do they want to spend more of their time enjoying all that life has to offer, rather than cooking and cleaning? Then The Sims 4 Vintage Glamour Stuff is the perfect pack to fulfill their dreams. Builders will enjoy the glitzy new items; including the all new Vanity Table, 16th Century Monte Vista Globe Bar, and even a classy gold Giraffe lamp. For the more refined Sims who find themselves above normal home chores you can hire the Butler NPC to come and take care of all that work for you, some might even have interesting traits that you will learn about as you get to know your new house helper.

Are your Sims tired of living the suburban life? Look no further than The Sims 4 City Living Expansion Pack. Enjoy the new bustling city of San Myshuno; meet new friends, try out new careers, enjoy local festivals, and find the apartment (or penthouse) of your dreams! Festivals occur in your local neighborhood that bring new activities and food for your Sim to enjoy, they can even get a festival exclusive T-Shirt from a local vendor to show support. Enjoy playing basketball with friends and going to the local Karaoke spot for a good evening out.
Of course, all the expansions require the base game The Sims 4, which is being sold as a standard edition or a Digital Deluxe Party Edition that comes with some extra goodies. No pricing is listed for the console expansions as of this writing — although some of them have begun to show up on the Xbox Marketplace — but if they follow their PC pricing on EA's Origin platform, it will be as follows:

  • The Sims 4 Vintage Glamour Stuff Pack - US$9.99
  • The Sims 4 Vampires Game Pack - US$19.99
  • The Sims 4 City Living Expansion Pack - US$39.99
"The Sims 4 City Living Expansion Pack," "The Sims 4 Vampires Game Pack" and "The Sims 4 Vintage Glamour Stuff Pack" will also be available together in a bundle, although no pricing was available. "The Sims 4 Perfect Patio Pack" is bundled with the Digital Deluxe Party Edition.

The Sims 4 launches for Xbox One and PS4 on November 17th with the Digital Deluxe Party Edition offering early access starting November 13th.
