has been announced by developer Robot Gentlemen. It's the follow-up to 60 Seconds!
, their mobile and PC post-apocalyptic survival game that drew comparisons to Fallout
(the 1990s Fallout
games; not the shooter-RPGs that compose the latter part of the series). The game "tasks players with scavenging as many supplies as they can carry (in 60 Seconds!, of course), before blasting off into space and attempting to survive on their spoils."
In addition to the survival aspect, the game sees players encountering non-linear, story-based events with various characters. 60 Parsecs!
is set during the Space Race and Cold War era of the 1950s and 1960s. Despite the notoriously tense historical time period, the game doesn't take itself too seriously, with survival equipment "ranging from cans of soup to sock puppets."
For those who have played the original, 60 Seconds!
, Robot Gentlemen promises 60 Parsecs!
is an improved version of it, boasting improved mechanics, a new crafting system and deeper narrative options.
is coming to PC and "major consoles" in 2018.
