Paladins: Champions of the Realm
entered closed beta last year with some shiny achievements, and more recently that beta has opened up to everyone. The game is a hero shooter, similar to Overwatch
, and in typical Hi-Rez fashion, it's free to play. That, coupled with a fairly easy achievement list, means tons of players have tried the game out. The latest patch introduces the game's "All Hallows Evie" event and, perhaps more importantly for many readers, it's changing the nature of that easy completion to make it...not so easy.
First, the achievements:
The patch notes are extremely long, so in lieu of posting them here you can head on over to the game's official website to see everything
. However, one notable detail is that achievement progression and rewards will be granted only for achievements that the player would never have the opportunity to unlock again. What this means is that these achievements are only partially retroactive — you can't get to level 20 again, so that will unlock, but you can reach a 20 kill streak once again and you will need to do so.

The developers have also confirmed the release date for the new patch.
The patch should go live early in the morning on October 11th.
