Check Out Our Horror Gaming Playlist on Spotify

By Mark Delaney, 1 month ago
We recently saw Spotify come to Xbox One shortly before Microsoft even went so far as to throw in the towel on their Groove Music platform and point their consumers toward the music streaming giant.

With Halloween approaching and my affinity for turning TA into a haunted house every October, now seems like the perfect time to get in the mood for the ghoulish season. If you've already played every horror game in your backlog, or you're just looking to find the Halloween spirit, this horror gaming playlist will hopefully aid you in that quest to be unnerved. I handpicked some of the best tracks from horror games old and new to bring you what is, I think, a near perfect mixtape for this time of year. I say near perfect, because as much as I love Spotify, they're actually missing a few key soundtracks, namely those for Silent Hill 2 an all-time classic, and the recent Little Nightmares, a modern classic.

From staples like Akira Yamaoka and Daniel Licht to lesser known composers like Tråd and Mikko Tarmia, the pieces I've selected span the globe and several gaming generations. If you'd like to suggest more songs to be included, let me know! Below is a list of the games featured at time of sharing in the order they appear in the playlist. If more requests come in, I'll update this list and the playlist itself.

Games Featured:

Subscribe to the playlist if you want to keep it in your personal library for easy access on mobile or right on your Xbox. If you think I've overlooked other great tracks from your favorite scary video games, let me know!
