According to an advertisement on the dashboard and the game's Xbox.com store page, Colossal Order's Cities: Skylines is free to play this weekend for Xbox Live Gold members.
After launching on Xbox this April, a season pass was recently announced for the city builder that will bring many of its PC expansions to consoles, starting with the "Snowfall" weather expansion on November 14th. The team is also celebrating the launch of the "Green Cities" expansion on PC, which wasn't mentioned to be included with the console season pass.
Although Cities: Skylines is available on Xbox Live through the Windows 10 store, the promotion is exclusively for the Xbox One version. It's also on sale at 25% off throughout the event. You can start up the download to try out Cities: Skylines — which runs about 2 GB — from your Xbox dashboard or the store page here.
