Not even 24 hours ago, Microsoft announced
that October 24th would be the day original Xbox backward compatibility
arrived for Xbox One. They've further added to the excitement by releasing a few videos showing off comparisons between Xbox games playing on the original Xbox versus the Xbox One S. Along with the original Xbox videos, players can also check out few clips of how Xbox 360 game Halo 3
looks on the Xbox One X.
According to Bill Stillwell, Lead Program Manager of Xbox, original Xbox games will have "up to 4X the pixel count on Xbox One and Xbox One S, and up to 16X the pixel count on Xbox One X." Comparison videos have been released showing off fan favorites Fuzion Frenzy
and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
on the Xbox One S:
Select Xbox 360 games on Xbox One X will boast "higher resolution, 9X the original pixel count, and expanded color details." The Xbox One X is able to improve graphical detail without adjusting the game's code. On the Xbox One X's launch, four Xbox 360 games will be enhanced for the X:

Microsoft also revealed that backward compatibility is getting plenty of use from players, with gamers having spent more than 700 million hours playing games through the program. Original Xbox backward compatibility launches October 24th, and the Xbox One X launches November 7th.
