The Creation of a Cult in Far Cry 5

By Ethan Anderson, 1 year ago
Ubisoft has just released a video that explains some of their thinking process on the topic of cults in Far Cry 5. The developer spoke with actual cult experts in order to understand how a single group could amass enough power to take over an entire town.

Ubisoft took their research and used it to aid in the creation of their in-game cult, The Project at Eden's Gate. This group of antagonists is lead by "The Father", Joseph Seed, and his Heralds. The Project at Eden's Gate preys on those who are down on their luck economically and facing despair psychologically.

Check out the video below to hear from a cult expert with whom Ubisoft consulted, and to see a bit of the reflection that went into creating Eden's Gate.

You'll be able to take up arms with The Resistance and fight back against Joseph Seed's cult when Far Cry 5 launches on February 27th, 2018.

We've got the full list of Far Cry 5 achievements - check the list for guides to unlocking them.
