Publisher Bigben Interactive, who you may recognise as the publisher of the likes of Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter
, has announced the release date for their next title. OUTCAST - Second Contact
is a remake of 1999's Outcast
made by the original developer, Appeal.
For those who missed it first time around, Outcast
told the story of Cutter Slade, a former US Navy Seal trapped on the world of Adelpha. The game apparently wasn't too bad either, winning a couple of "Adventure Game of the Year" awards at the time, and was one of the originators of open-world games, pre-dating the likes of Grand Theft Auto III
by a couple of years. To show what the remake looks like in action, Bigben released a trailer following the game's hero, Cutter.
If that intrigues you, or you're a fan of the original, you'll be happy to know that you won't have to wait long at all for the remake. OUTCAST — Second Contact
launches on Xbox One on November 14th, with anyone purchasing the game within the first two weeks of release receiving the added bonus of the "Golden Weapons Pack" DLC.
