Ubisoft has just released another trailer for the upcoming Far Cry 5
. This trailer comes from today's Paris Games Week event, and it focuses on co-op gameplay. The developer has also shared a few details along with the trailer. Players will be happy to hear that they have the option to play the entire campaign in co-op with the Friends for Hire system.
You will be able to invite a friend to play with you at any point during the game once you have completed the tutorial. Co-op partners will appear as their custom players and are free to enter and leave your game as needed. Voice chat communication will be included along with the ability to share health packs and ammo. There is also a friendly fire option for those who are extremely trusting.
You'll be able to adventure together, but only the hosting player will be able to accept missions, keep world progression, and recruit and command Guns for Hire. The Friend for Hire will, however, keep player progression. This includes money, perks, guns, and loot, with the exception of items that are gained through completing missions. In addition, co-op friends will have to come from your friends list since there will not be any matchmaking.
Check out the trailer below for a bit of a visual on the Friends for Hire co-op system.
You will be able to play through the campaign solo or with a friend when Far Cry 5
launches on February 27th, 2018.
