Whilst we have known that fan favourite map, Carentan, would be available
on day one for the highly anticipated Call of Duty: WWII
, we've not yet seen it in action, until now.
Publisher Activision has released a full-length trailer showing gameplay from the new map. For those who played on the map in United Offensive
and Call of Duty II
, no doubt it will bring back many fond memories. Naturally, on this generation of console, it has been completely reworked and looks visually stunning.
Additionally, developer Sledgehammer Games has revealed how they want to put their spin on the famed Nazi Zombies part of the title. Whilst the core elements of the gameplay remain the same with four player co-op against waves of the undead, Sledgehammer wants to add more story elements to the gameplay and make it a much more intense and scarier experience. In a video interview, two of the directors behind the game give an insight into just what they are trying to achieve, and so far, it does seem intriguing.
The map will be available on day one through the season pass when Call of Duty: World War II
launches on November 3rd.
