Ahead of The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series - The Final Season finishing Telltale's take on The Walking Dead next year, the developer has announced The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series Collection, a collection containing all previous games in the series. Not only will the collection contain the previous three main seasons, but also three-part mini-series The Walking Dead: Michonne and "400 Days", a special episode that bridges the gap between seasons one and two.
This isn't just a simple collection of the series either — although that would have been perfectly fine — but everything bar the recent third season will be receiving a visual upgrade. You can see side-by-side comparisons, plus what the collection looks like in action below.
That's not all! The final piece of The Walking Dead news relates to the final season. Gary Whitta — writer on The Book of Eli and story writer on Rogue One: A Star Wars Story — will be a story consultant for the fourth and final season. Whitta, who worked on the game's first season, writing its fourth episode, had this to say about his return:
Collaborating with Telltale on the first season of Clementine's journey through the world of The Walking Dead was one of the highlights of my career, so reuniting with them to now bring her story to a close with this final season feels like a homecoming. Clementine has become not just one of the most compelling characters in the Walking Dead pantheon but one of the great video game characters of all time. I hope we're able to do justice to her and to her millions of fans. This one feels special. The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series Collection launches on December 5th, giving players time before The Walking Dead: The Final Season finishes the story next year.
