System Shock Remastered Edition Releases Development Update Video

Gamers of slightly more advanced years may remember one of the all-time classics, the cyberpunk horror title System Shock. Through a very successful Kickstarter campaign, the title is being recreated and reborn for this generation of consoles. Although System Shock Remastered Edition remains in the pre-production stage after the recent move from Unity to the Unreal 4 engine, Night Dive Studios is keen to show off how the game is progressing.

In the extended clip, the team show a so-called vertical slice — a full-featured experience in a small section of the game — featuring the medical deck level. Gameplay is also demonstrated, along with a demonstration of gibbing and model dismemberment.

System Shock Remastered Edition is still in the early stages of development and is yet to have a confirmed release date.

We don't have them yet, but we'll publish a story as soon as we pick up the System Shock Remastered Edition achievements.
