Ubisoft revealed today that more DLC is headed to their hit title, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. Unlike previous downloads for the title, this one will feature singleplayer and multiplayer additions and will cost you some points. It will, however, include ten new achievements.

The DLC, titled "The Da Vinci Disappearance", takes place after the fall of the Borgias in Rome. Leonardo Da Vinci has been kidnapped by an underground cult known as the Hermeticists and it's up to Ezio to "recover stolen paintings in order to find Leo before it is too late." During his quest, Ezio will uncover two new locations and players will be treated to two new gameplay features which have not been detailed just yet.

On the multiplayer side, the DLC pack will include one new map, four new characters and two new game modes.

Alhambra, the new map, is set in Spain's Albaicin of Granada and "provides multileveled indoor and outdoor areas perfect for predators to lurk in the dense crowd for unsuspecting targets".

As to the two new game modes, they are called Escort and Assassinate. In Escort mode, two teams of four players will compete to either protect their VIP or assassinate the opposing team's VIP. In Assassinate mode, six to eight players compete in a deathmatch style game over one, ten-minute round.

Ubisoft also released a video to promote the upcoming content:

Also, for those of you who do not yet own Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, a listing has popped up at Game for a Da Vinci Edition of the game due out on March 25th. The Da Vinci Edition includes free DLC, though exactly which isn't clear in the listing. Given the title of the new content, chances are it'll include "The Da Vinci Disappearance" along with the main game.

"The Da Vinci Disappearance" will be available in March for 800 MSP.
