Marvel Heroes Omega Has Shut Down

By Kevin Tavore, 15 days ago
Update: The official Twitter account has confirmed the closure is permanent. Sorry, everyone:

Original Article: After initially being announced for December 31st, a rumor popped up last week indicating the end of Marvel Heroes Omega might be sooner than expected. It seems that rumor was well-founded. As of 6PM GMT, 10AM PST, the servers for the game have been closed, all employees with the developer have been laid off and Marvel Heroes is dead. There is no reason to believe the servers will be revived. All achievements are now discontinued.

If you’re curious why this might have happened so soon, our previous article details some of the possibilities. Comments around the net also indicate Microsoft is giving refunds for all purchases in game, so you may wish to reach out to the support team.

We wish nothing but the best to the employees of Gazillion who lost their jobs.
