Attack on Titan 2 Details Scouts and Buddy Actions

Publisher KOEI TECMO has never been shy about releasing a deluge of media and details for their upcoming titles. Attack on Titan 2 is no exception. Today brings along details on the new Buddy Actions feature, as well as some of the Scout actions.

Buddy Actions are the support options that can be offered to you by other members of the team. Details on these are scarce but they do include Rescue and Recovery. There's also Titan Transformation that enables a team member to "unlock the power of Titans".

On the other hand, Scouts can strategise and keep powerful attacks back for use when they're most needed. While their hook drive move allows them to jump and evade at a quick pace, their sneak attacks are also quite useful. If they're to be successful when sneaking around, they need to stay out of the Titans' field of vision and remain undetected. They also have the use of flash grenades to temporarily blind their foes and restraining guns to help cature the Titans.

When not fighting Titans, players will be able to replenish their equipment at Bases. Not only will these act as supply points for things like gas and blades, they can also act as safe havens with automated artillery towers to protect against attack.

The screenshots below showcase a mix of all three of these features:

Following on from last week's action trailer, we also get artwork for the six characters that were seen in that gameplay footage: Mitabi Jarnach, Hannes, Zoe Hange, Rico Brzenska, Erwin Smith and Ian Dietrich.

You'll be able to make use of all of these features when the game is released next March.
