One of Fortnite
's biggest strengths — particularly as a multiplayer title — has been the regularity of patches and updates to the game. Any major issues are sorted fairly quickly and there's almost always something new for players to try out. Epic Games has continued this trend with this latest patch, V.1.10, which brings a multitude of changes and fixes to both the Save the World and Battle Royale modes.
"Who are those fine folk above?" I hear you ask. They are the four new heroes added to Fortnite
's Save the World mode to celebrate the launch of the Xbox One X. The Soldier (Commando Renegade), Contructor (Guardian Knox), Ninja (Jade Assassin Sarah) and Outsider (Trailblazer Jess) will be available to everyone who purchased the Founders Pack after completing the "Loot Llamas" quest, which is the same point that most of the other Founders pack goodies are unlocked. Those who have already completed said quest will receive the heroes next time they login.
Save the World isn't the only one getting something new. Perhaps not immediately exciting, but no less important, Epic has provided a sneak peak at the new Inventory UI for Battle Royale.
Now onto the patch notes. There's quite the mammoth list of changes here for both modes with changes to aim assist and consumable drop rates on the way in Battle Royale and new quests and those aforementioned new heroes for Save the World, so bear with us. We'll start with the Battle Royale changes first and then move onto what's changing in Save the World.

In addition, Epic has been exploring how to reduce the file size of these patches on Xbox One. They've found a solution for the future, but that means that this patch is a little bit larger than most coming in at 10GB.
Finally, at The Game Awards tonight, Epic will be revealing a limited-time mode for Fortnite
's Battle Royale mode. Will the Battle Bus also be bringing some snow to proceedings? We'll bring you that information as soon as we know.
