The TrueAchievements Game of the Year 2017 By Dave Horobin, 21 Dec 2017 FollowtopicsCommunity NewsDave Horobin Firstly, we'd like to thank each of you that voted in this year's TrueAchievements Game of the Year. In total, just under 5,000 of you took the time to cast your vote. Before we get into revealing this year's winners, we'd like to be clear about how the new multi-genre system has affected this year's awards. Unlike in previous years where each game could only appear in one award category, the new multi-genre system meant that games were eligible for multiple awards. To get around this, we assigned a primary genre to each game, so Forza Motorsport 7 was only counted for the racing genre, Destiny 2 in shooter and so on.As always, the Game of the Year, as well as the rest of the winners, will receive TrueAchievements rosettes on their respective game or achievement pages.TrueAchievements Game of the Year Awards 2017 WinnersWithout further ado, here are this year's winners, as voted by the TrueAchievements community.
