Thanks to Major Nelson's announcement a few days ago, we learned that Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition and NBA Playgrounds would be coming to the Xbox Game Pass service in January. It turns out they aren't the only additions with a further eight games to be added, covering a variety of genres and all three generations of Xbox. The additions of Bayonetta, Injustice: Gods Among Us, Xbox original Fuzion Frenzy, Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, Deadlight: Directors Cut, Zoo Tycoon: Ultimate Animal Collection, WRC 5 and Tecmo Bowl Throwback ensures that Xbox Game Pass owners can kick off 2018 in style.
In addition, Xbox Game Pass will be running a special offer of £1 / US$1 / €1 for new customers' first month. Considering the usual cost of £7.99 / US$9.99 / €9.99 / AU$10.95, that's already quite the reason to jump in, but Microsoft have provided another incentive to try out the service. With it being the season of giving, Xbox has partnered with charity GameChanger, a non-profit that uses games and technology to ease the pain and suffering of kids facing long-term and/or life-threatening illnesses. For each Xbox Game Pass purchased during the same time as the special offer period, Microsoft will donate $10 to hospitals around the world.
Both the special offer price and "Season of Giving" charity period will run from December 21st to January 4th. The ten titles will then welcome in 2018 on January 1st.
