Dark Souls: Remastered Announced

By Kevin Tavore, 1 year ago
Dark Souls is a bit of a phenomenon. It launched in 2011 to some praise, but its high difficulty and lonely atmosphere might have turned some players off it. It wasn't until months or years later that players began to discover the depth of the game. They began to appreciate its intricate world, its brutal combat and its challenging boss fights. As we learned in September's TA Playlist, the game is still every bit as good as it used to be in gameplay and design, but its visuals are beginning to become dated. That may even have turned you off the game, but no longer.

Bandai Namco has confirmed this morning that Dark Souls will be coming to this generation of consoles. If you’re playing on an Xbox One X, you’ll get 4K 60fps gameplay while everyone will get all the DLC, 6-player online integration and nine new online-focused covenants to go with that feature.

Dark Souls: Remastered will be available on May 25th.

Thank you to everyone who suggested this news.
