The PC version of Fable III
was originally supposed to release on the same day as the Xbox 360 version. It was announced back in August that it had been delayed... and then we've not heard much about it since.
Microsoft have finally broken that silence, confirmed that the Games for Windows - LIVE version of the game (meaning yes, it will have achievements) will release on May 17th in North America, and on May 19th in Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
The GfWL version is the same as its console counterpart (including both online and local co-op), with three new additions for PC gamers. Firstly, the game will include the quest, dog breed, outfit and region all included in the Collector's Edition
of the game as standard. Secondly, the PC version will support 3D gameplay with NVIDIA's 3D Vision tech. And best of all, the game will include a new "Hardcore" mode, ramping up the game's difficulty for PC players.
Microsoft have also announced that the WP7 game Fable Coin Golf
(originally announced back in January
) will be released in March. Not much has been announced about the game, but the below trailer should give a good idea of what to expect from the game when it releases:
Tying into the full version of Fable III
, Coin Golf
will unlock three exclusive weapons for use in the newly-announced Traitor's Keep DLC
, which releases next Tuesday.
