Darkest Dungeon Coming to Xbox One in February

Red Hook Studios, Darkest Dungeon developers, have a brief message for Xbox One players: "Darkest Dungeon [is] coming to Xbox One on February 28th." The game, which Red Hook describes in so many words as "a challenging gothic roguelike turn-based RPG about the psychological stresses of adventuring," has already launched and been critically lauded on PC, PS4/Vita, iPad and Nintendo Switch.

Darkest Dungeon was praised for a number of features, including its Affliction System, which made party members' emotions affect gameplay, its hand-drawn art, the presence of a variety of classes from which to choose, and the game's intriguing narrator. As a roguelike, it features turn-based combat, procedurally generated dungeons and permadeath.

The short and to-the-point post on the official Darkest Dungeon website promises more information is coming soon. Presumably, we'll hear more about what to expect in the Xbox One version, since two DLC expansions have been released for the game since its launch.

As Red Hook has made quite clear, Darkest Dungeon will launch for Xbox One on February 28th.
