Revealed to the world just before last year's E3, Iron Galaxy — best known to Xbox owners for their work on season two and three of Killer Instinct
— has been hard at work on their next game, Extinction
. After several months of hard work, the team is now ready to announce the release date for their upcoming giant slayer.
It's not just the release date that has been announced, however, as the team revealed the game's two editions: standard and deluxe. Like many a special edition nowadays, Extinction
's Deluxe Edition will come with a season pass, this one called "Days of Dolorum". In addition, the game's box art has also been revealed, looking very similar to the image you can see above but just more focused on protagonist Avil and that big ogre staring him down.
Turns out Iron Galaxy's original scheduling of early 2018 was pretty much on the money as Extinction
is set to launch on Xbox One on April 10th.
