As if Far Cry fans wouldn't have been excited enough already, a couple of new trailers have been released and one of them has revealed a pretty sweet treat for fans who enjoyed their time with Far Cry 3. The other video is a story trailer for Ubisoft's upcoming instalment in the series, Far Cry 5.

Far Cry 3 was well received back when it released in 2012 on the Xbox 360. The title currently sits at 4.4 out of 5 stars from 9,602 votes and is available to check out for Xbox One owners via Backwards Compatibility. With the reveal of the details for the Far Cry 5 Season Pass, we've now discovered that those who make the purchase will receive a copy of Far Cry 3 Classic Edition for free. Feel the blast from the past in the following trailer:

The season pass will also come with three additional adventures to take on, and they will come with that unique Far Cry twist, of course:

Hours of Darkness: Players will travel back in time to Vietnam to battle against Viet Cong soldiers

Dead Living Zombies: Players will face hordes of zombies in multiple b-movie scenarios

Lost on Mars: Players will leave Earth behind to go toe-to-claws with Martian arachnids

If, for some reason, Far Cry 5 doesn't interest you but you'd like to dive deep into the madness of Far Cry 3 again, then you'll be pleased to know that the Classic Edition will be available as a standalone purchase four weeks after launching for season pass owners in summer 2018.

In the story trailer for Far Cry 5, we see the doomsday cult led by Joseph Seed taking over Hope County. Soon, it will be down to you to kick-start the resistance and bring this cult to justice.

Far Cry 5 and its season pass will be available on March 27th. Don't forget that you can also pick up the Gold Edition of the game, which includes the season pass.
