TA Podcast: Wulverblade, Asemblance, Winter Olympics and Win a Code

By Dave Horobin,
Welcome to episode 106 of the TrueAchievements podcast. Rich moved house this week, so he was still busy trying to find his PC from the mountain of boxes scattered around his new home when we recorded, but as is now customary, Mark jumped into the hot seat to fill in.

On this show, we give you the chance to win an Xbox One download code of your choosing from our giveaway sack (leave us a comment to enter), Jack continues his streak of completing games, I check out Rememoried, Mark gives us his thoughts on Split/Second and we all try to figure out what is going on in Asemblance. We also discuss the rest of this week's biggest news announcements, take a look at what we've been playing over the past seven days, chat about our ID@Xbox streams, take a brief look at the games coming our way over the next seven days and answer your questions, including the question of the week.

If you enjoy listening to our podcast, please subscribe in iTunes, give us a good rating, and leave a nice review. For those of you who are using other operating systems, you can also listen to our podcasts here on the site, on YouTube, or you can download them here.

Nothing wrong with a price increase, but the combination of not announcing the increase, and doing a faux-sale is shady. I don't really care for the games they are offering, but I would think twice about supporting a company like that in future - so I agree Mark that companies and consumers are free to do as they wish.

I found Rememoried to be quite meh.

It was lightly touched on but I really like what Ubisoft is doing with their pre-orders by adding in an older game for free. I didn’t pre-order the new South Park game but I did buy it shortly after on sale bc it is a 2 for 1 deal. I’ve never played a Far Cry but Far Cry 5 looks good, the season pass looks really wild which I enjoy and throw in maybe the best game in the series (from what I’ve read) and this seems like a good deal. I hope these games sell well and other companies follow suit.

I loved your nuanced view on the price hike on the Artifex Mundi games. Sure, it's an unpopular choice to heighten the price of the games, but in the end, it's their call. Totally agree

Artifex Mundi should be renamed Artifex Shady.

So because I'm already in rewards which I assume is the same as Xbox rewards I and everyone else are exempt from this offer, such discrimination, so it's nice to see that it doesn't happen on TA!

I am a new consumer of the Artifex Mundei products, started last year or the year before for the easy completions. I’m glad I picked up most when they were $10, however I’m not against them increasing price. If it is for development, customs, etc but if they are just wanting more money, they should have done a flash sale i.e. move more product and then have the price increase.

All said and done, I’ll probably still keep buying their games, easy as they are they are also fun to play.

Question: I heard of Slayaway Camp on the podcast(if not this one, a week or two ago), where in your opinion is the best place to grind for coins to buy the gore packs?

Best case scenario, the Artifex Mundi games all go on Games Pass.
