Gears of War 4 Torque Bow Tag Flaming Skins Event on Now

By Rebecca Smith, 1 year ago
If you're anything like me, you didn't bother starting to collect the Flaming weapon skins in Gears of War 4 until you learned there was an achievement for doing so. Events had already passed to earn some of those skins before the achievement was revealed, but The Coalition promised that there would be plenty of opportunities in the future to earn some of the skins you may have missed, as well as those that hadn't been made available. This week is one of those opportunities. The previously announced Cupid's Torque Bow Tag event gives players the chance to earn two Flaming skins, one of which is new and the other of which is a returning skin.

Players will get their first opportunity to earn the Flaming Enforcer skin, as well as a second opportunity to earn the Flaming Torque Bow skin. Players have to register to take part in the event — you can do so in-game or go to the Gears of War website — and take part in the Cupid's Torque Bow Tag playlist to qualify. All you need to do is complete the following tasks by Monday, February 19th at 10am PDT:

  • Flaming Enforcer: Get 100 Kills in the 'Cupid's Torque Bow Tag' playlist
  • Flaming Torque Bow: Win 5 matches in the 'Cupid's Torque Bow Tag' playlist
As usual, The Coalition is tracking the stats for this event in the background and progress is not visible to players. They advise that you manually track your progress to make sure you complete the event and earn your weapon skins. The rewards should be sent out "by mid-March". Hopefully.
