Square Enix's much-loved RPG Final Fantasy XV is coming to Windows in the form of Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition. Ahead of this version's release, a free demo will be available to check out that gives fans a great opportunity to try out the game and get a sample of how well it will run on their gaming set up. There are also a couple of pieces of art, pre-purchase and purchase bonuses, and the minimum and recommended specifications for your PC/laptop.

Those who download and try the demo will be able to dive into Chapter One of the main story, explore the tutorial and the opening quests. If you like what you try of the demo and want to place a pre-order for the game or just end up buying it when it comes out anyway, you'll be rewarded with a pre-order bonus, and there's also brief details on save data and cross play with the Xbox One version of the game:

  • The save data from the Windows 10 version of FINAL FANTASY XV WINDOWS EDITION is compatible with the Xbox One version of FINAL FANTASY XV. In addition, a post-launch update for FINAL FANTASY XV WINDOWS EDITION will enable Windows 10 and Xbox One cross play for FINAL FANTASY XV MULTIPLAYER EXPANSION: COMRADES.
  • Players who pre-order the game from the Microsoft Store will receive the bonus “FFXV Powerup Pack,” containing Dodanuki, a sleek sword created by a legendary bladesmith that reduces enemy defense with each slash. The pack also includes 10 phoenix downs and 10 elixirs.
Now for the technical aspects which of course are very important for those looking to get the absolute best experience from the game. The game will support "Native 4K and 8K resolutions with HDR10 and DOLBY ATMOS". Take a look at the specifications to see if you meet the requirements:
