Racing Game Trailblazers Announced By Ex-Codemasters And Bizarre Creations Vets

Based in Guildford, England, developer Supergonk has announced their debut title, the co-operative racing game Trailblazers. Made from industry veterans from Codemasters and Bizarre Creations, two developers with plenty of racing game experience, as well as Fable developer Lionhead, the team hopes to provide a fresh spin on the genre with their 3v3 racer.

As you can see in the screenshots above, Trailblazers is an extremely colourful racer. This is down to the game's main mechanic: players paint the track as they drive through it, almost a racing game twist on Nintendo shooter Splatoon. These trails will then provide a boost in speed to the rest of your team. Of course, there's also the other team to contend with, and you'll want to make sure to paint over their trail so they are slowed down, but also keep them away from your lines. To be expected from a co-operative racer, there's a focus on multiplayer with both local and online multiplayer, but fret not single-player fans, the game will also have a story mode to delve into. For those who want to see the game in action, check out the colourful announcement trailer below.

Trailblazers is "coming soon" to Xbox One.
