NASCAR The Game 2011 'Official Voices' Dev Diary

By Keith Gray,
It seems that hardly a week can go by without us being reminded by Activision and Eutechnyx that they are working together on the latest virtual recreation of the sport of NASCAR.

This week is no different, as the GDC 2011 witnessed the newest in a long line of developer diaries for forthcoming title, NASCAR The Game 2011.

This time around, gamers get to see the faces behind the in-game voices. To begin with the development team discuss choosing Ty Norris as the in-game "spotter". Those of you who are unfamiliar with NASCAR terminology should note that the "spotter" is the guy who is "always in your ear, advising when to pit, when to save your fuel, what everyone else is doing in the race, how it's affecting your standings". The video ends with input from the PRN commentary team.

We previously reported on the following Developer Diaries: "Car Setups", "Full Seasons" and "Pit Stop".

All these trailers aren't enough, I hear you say! Fear not, as nine new screenshots were also released. They showcase the Las Vegas Motor Speedway:

You can see those screenshots, and all the others which have gone before, on the official NASCAR The Game 2011 screenshots page.

NASCAR The Game 2011 will be racing onto consoles from March 29th, 2011.
