Shadow of the Tomb Raider Launches September 14th, Full Reveal Coming Soon

It feels like the video game industry is leakier than the bathroom faucets at a rundown concert venue lately. Another poorly kept secret has today been officially acknowledged in name, complete with a teaser trailer and release date. Lara Croft will return in this fall's Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider

It was once leaked due to an employee being less than cautious on public transit. Then it was teased with a hidden message via tweet from the game's official Twitter profile. Then just yesterday it was leaked further. Today we have confirmation. It's real and it's arriving on September 14th.

The official website promises the full reveal will come on April 27th — and probably more at E3 if we had to guess. A "puzzle" is teased online for this coming Monday at 9 am PDT. It sounds like the creators will be using an ARG to promote the game in this relatively short run-up to release. Stay tuned for plenty more on Lara's next globetrotting adventure.

We don't have them yet, but we'll publish a story as soon as we pick up the Shadow of the Tomb Raider achievements.
