When we last heard about Ubisoft's open-world racer The Crew 2
, it was the unfortunate news that the game would be delayed
from its initial March release date into the rather more vague "first half of fiscal year '19", which somewhat confusingly translates to somewhere between April and September 2018. Regardless, we no longer need to wonder about that, as the team at Ubisoft Ivory Tower have announced the release date for The Crew 2
alongside a new trailer.
The short trailer shows cars, boats and planes — not quite Planes, Trains and Automobiles
, but close enough — all racing about the world before finishing with one plane spelling out the release date in the sky.
The Crew 2
races onto Xbox One on June 29th. Players who purchase the Ubisoft Store exclusive "Motor Edition", which will also include the game's season pass, unique vehicles and more, will be able to play three days early on June 26th.
