Growing up, I never got into side-scrolling beat ‘em up games. Don’t get me wrong, titles like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time
and Streets of Rage 2
are examples of some of the best the genre has to offer. However, I couldn’t understand the appeal during the ‘90s. I guess it’s time to see what the fuss is about in Way of the Passive Fist
In this side-scrolling beat ‘em up game, players are placed on the planet Zircon V, a volatile world drowning in mutants, fighters, and robots. It’s up to The Wanderer to defeat his foes while keeping true to his minimalistic fighting style. Can this title survive in 2018? Find out in my first impressions below.
Way of the Passive Fist
is available now.
