Nearly three weeks ago, Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice
was uncovered for Xbox One
thanks to ratings boards in Australia and Taiwan. Now, developer Ninja Theory has confirmed that their acclaimed title is indeed heading to the console, and it will be arriving as early as next month.
Players assume the role of Senua as she "embarks on a very personal journey through a hellish underworld". The Celtic warrior is on a journey to save the soul of her lover who's in the midst of the Viking heartlands. You'll need to master the developer's usual brutal sword-based combat if she is to survive, but the battle is also a mental one. Her psychosis means that you'll be battling the shadows and fantasies of her own mind, as well as the physical enemies.
The title will offer HDR support, as well as enhancements for Xbox One X players. There will be three enhanced game modes for players on the latter console. Enhanced Visuals mode offers better visual quality and extra FX. The second mode is High Framerate, which will run the game at 60fps. Finally, High Resolution mode will offer "dynamic resolutions up to 4K".
The game will finally be arriving on Xbox One on April 11th. Pre-orders have opened today, and if you purchase the game before its release date, you'll get a 10% discount.
